SWING JIVE courses on MONDAYS at 8.15 pm
St CATHERINE'S CHURCH HALL
Free-style dancing means that you can mix things up if you want to and it’s very popular to take some of the flair and style of Lindy Hop and Charleston and mix it with the accessibility of authentic Jive. The result is full of fun, variety and playfulness. We use medium tempo music from the 1940s and 1950s to ease you into this flexible dance style.
Your teachers, Debra & John, jointly have over fifty years of fun dance experience to patiently share with you. They offer Swing Jive as an accessible, flexible, social dance-style suited to a wide range of vintage music. With such in-depth knowledge they can show you short-cuts to success to get you started, help you to refine your dancing with stronger technique, or offer styling tips to raise your game.
